Series of patterns made by hand with the natural color of the Cochineal which is mainly used as colorant for lipsticks and food bringing a bright and strong carmin color (red).
This patterns have been made with extremely care and patience, the different tones of color were the result of many tests with the same grinded insect but chemically alterated by using basic substances like lemon juice or soda powder.

One of the patterns was showed as part of a collective design exhibition in the Museum of the city of Guadalajara in Mexico (November 2017 - January 2018). "Rojo de Grana" is about art meeting design all using natural color of carmin de Grana cochinilla. We are proud of continuing working with this treasure from nature and keeping innovating with the magic that comes from it.
